Living In Stonegate

Governance

The Stonegate Homes Association is governed by a five-member board elected annually at the annual meeting. Terms are two years. In return for providing service, annual subdivision dues for board members are reduced to half. The current board members for 2025 are:

  • Linda Redford, President

  • Doug Duncan, Vice President

  • Lisa Nelson, Treasurer

  • Andy Smith, Secretary

  • Susan Tannewitz-Karnes, Grounds & Maintenance

Homes Association Meetings

The Annual Home Owners’ Meeting is held in January. Additionally, quarterly meetings of the Board are held throughout the year, as are additional meetings with home owners as needed. Watch for meeting announcements in your email and on the subdivision information board placed on the entrance island by 133rd and Benson.

Trash Service, Yard Waste & Recycling

Trash, yard waste removal and recycling is currently provided by GFL as part of your annual dues.

  • Pick-up is Thursday.

  • Recycling does NOT take glass.

  • If the containers provided are not sufficient for your trash needs,

  • Contact GFL for larger containers.

  • GFL local phone number: 816.380.5595.

  • GFL now limits the amount of trash and recycling that each home can have each week. If you require more than will fit in the provided polycart you will need to purchase stickers ($1.25/bag). Stickers for additional trash bags may be purchased at the Customer Service Desk at Hen House, 135th and Metcalf.

What Do My Dues Pay For?

Stonegate is small community with common area that needs to be maintained. Dues pay for grounds maintenance, water, electricity, liability insurance, trash pick-up and more. Many subdivisions use a management company to manage their homes association which can be costly. Because we are self-governed by a board elected by the homeowners, we are able to keep our annual dues very reasonable.

2026 Dues: $472 - payable by March 15, 2026
